Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MRCOG AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

Accounts are for individual use only. Sharing login credentials or allowing multiple people to use a single account is prohibited.

3. Purchases and Billing

• Free trial: new accounts get 5 days of full access to every part, mock exams, and the AI tutor, no credit card required. After the trial, accounts fall back to a permanent free tier capped at 50 questions.
• Exam-cycle packages: Pass Packages are one-time payments granting access from purchase until your chosen exam sitting's results day plus 30 days. They do not auto-renew and there is nothing to cancel. The Whole MRCOG Journey plan is a one-time payment granting access to all three parts for 24 months from the date of purchase; it does not auto-renew, and when the access period ends the account falls back to the same permanent free tier described above, with your study history, review schedule and analytics retained.
• Pass Guarantee: Pass Packages include a conditional pass guarantee. The conditions and claim process are set out on the Pass Guarantee page, which forms part of these terms.
• Refunds: every plan includes an unconditional 3-day refund. Contact us within 3 days of your purchase for a full refund, no conditions. This is separate from, and in addition to, the Pass Guarantee above. Refund requests outside this window are at our discretion.
• Price changes: we may adjust pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.

4. Content

All questions, explanations, and study materials on MRCOG AI are original works. They are written by clinicians and refined with AI assistance, based on published guidelines (RCOG Green-top Guidelines, NICE guidance) and standard medical textbooks.

• Original content only: every question on this platform is written by us from published sources. We do not reproduce, sell or distribute exam board material.
• No RCOG affiliation: MRCOG AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to RCOG. Our content is independently created.
• Educational purpose only: the content is designed for exam preparation and self-assessment. It does not constitute medical advice and should not be used for clinical decision-making.
• Accuracy: while we strive for clinical accuracy and reference published guidelines, medical knowledge evolves. We cannot guarantee that all content reflects the very latest evidence at all times.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on MRCOG AI, including questions, explanations, user interface design, and software code, is the intellectual property of MRCOG AI. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.

You may not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from the platform. You may not share questions or explanations publicly (e.g., on social media or forums).

6. Acceptable Use

In addition to the restrictions in section 5, you must not:

• Abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent rate limits on the AI tutor or any AI-generated content features
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts, or source code behind the service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, including the Acceptable Use restrictions above. Where practical, we'll give you notice and a chance to fix the issue first, except where we reasonably believe immediate suspension is necessary to protect the service or other users.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund beyond what's already provided for under section 3.

8. Age and Eligibility

MRCOG AI is intended for medical professionals and trainees aged 18 or over preparing for the MRCOG exam. By using the service, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

9. Limitation of Liability

MRCOG AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that you will pass the MRCOG exam as a result of using this service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MRCOG AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to outages of third-party infrastructure providers, internet or telecommunications failures, or acts of government.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these terms, in whole or in part, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

15. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the Pass Guarantee page and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MRCOG AI regarding the service, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
